Day 2: Dar es Salaam ➝ Nyerere National Park – Game Drive & Boat Safari
After an early breakfast, depart from Dar es Salaam and journey to Nyerere National Park, either by road or a short flight. Arrive in time for an exciting afternoon game drive, where you’ll spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and possibly lions in the park’s vast wilderness. Later in the day, enjoy a
peaceful boat safari along the Rufiji River, a unique experience offering close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. As the sun begins to set, make your way to your lodge or tented camp for check-in. Enjoy dinner and relax for the night, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
Wake up early and set out for a full-day game drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Nyerere National Park. Covering a vast area of savannahs, wetlands, and riverine forests, the park offers an incredible diversity of wildlife. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and even the rare African wild dog.
Your professional guide will help track animals and share fascinating insights about the ecosystem. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park, surrounded by nature. Day 4: Return to Dar es Salaam or Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast at your lodge, it’s time to say goodbye to the wilderness. Depending on your travel plan, you’ll either drive back to Dar es Salaam through scenic countryside or take a short flight to Zanzibar for some beach relaxation. For those heading home, you’ll be dropped off at Julius Nyerere International Airport for your international flight.
If you’re continuing your adventure in Zanzibar, get ready to swap the safari jeep for white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Either way, you leave with unforgettable memories of your time in Nyerere National Park and the magic of Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.
