Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari representative. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha town.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing and recovering from your journey, with time to enjoy the city or prepare your trekking gear. In the evening, meet your mountain guide for a detailed pre-trek briefing and equipment check.

Day 2: Arusha – Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut
After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park and complete registration at Momella Gate (1,500 m). The trek begins through lush montane forest, often accompanied by an armed ranger due to wildlife presence such as giraffes, buffaloes, and monkeys.
The trail gradually climbs through grasslands and forest to Miriakamba Hut (2,514 m). Trekking time: 4–5 hours

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 3: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut
Today’s trek ascends through forest and heather zones with stunning views of Meru Crater and Ash Cone. The trail becomes steeper as you approach Saddle Hut (3,570 m). In the afternoon, you may take an acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 m).
Trekking time: 3–4 hours
Overnight: Saddle Hut
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak – Miriakamba Hut
An early midnight start leads to the summit of Socialist Peak (4,566 m). Witness a spectacular sunrise with Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. After photos and rest, descend back to Saddle Hut for brunch, then continue down to Miriakamba Hut.
Trekking time: 8–10 hours
Overnight: Miriakamba Hut
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 5: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha
After breakfast, descend through forest trails to Momella Gate. Meet your driver and transfer back to Arusha town, marking the end of your Mount Meru trekking adventure.
