Day 1: Zanzibar ➝ Nyerere National Park – Game Drive & Boat Safari
Begin your safari adventure with a scenic flight from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, meet your professional guide and head straight into the wild for your first game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and more. After lunch and a short rest, enjoy a peaceful boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you’ll encounter hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Nyerere National Park
After an early breakfast, set off for a full-day game drive in the vast and diverse landscapes of Nyerere National Park. As one of Africa’s largest protected areas, it offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. Explore open plains, riverine forests, and miombo woodlands in search of lions, elephants, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, and the rare African wild dog.

Day 3: Ruaha National Park – Afternoon to Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Ruaha National Park, a hidden gem known for its rugged beauty and rich wildlife. Upon arrival, meet your guide and begin exploring immediately with a thrilling game drive. Ruaha’s vast landscapes—dotted with ancient baobab trees and intersected by the Great Ruaha River—offer the chance to spot lions, leopards, elephants, and large herds of antelope.
Enjoy wildlife sightings throughout the afternoon, with the golden hour providing incredible photo opportunities. As the sun sets, make your way to your lodge or tented camp, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and unwind in the peaceful ambiance of the African bush.
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Ruaha National Park
Rise early for a full-day game drive through the wild and untamed beauty of Ruaha National Park. Known for its dramatic landscapes and high concentration of wildlife, Ruaha offers an authentic safari experience away from the crowds. Explore its vast plains, rolling hills, and rocky outcrops, all home to an abundance of animals including elephants, lions, leopards, kudu, and sable antelope.
With fewer vehicles in the park, enjoy intimate wildlife encounters and uninterrupted views. Break for a picnic lunch in the shade of a baobab tree or near the riverbanks, then continue your adventure into the afternoon. Return to your lodge in the evening to relax, reflect, and enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars
Day 5: Walking Safari & Night Game Drive in Ruaha
Start your day with an early morning walking safari, guided by an armed ranger and expert tracker. This up-close experience lets you explore Ruaha’s ecosystem on foot, learning about animal tracks, plants, birdlife, and the subtle signs of the wild that are often missed from a vehicle.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge or an optional short game drive. In the evening, head out on an exhilarating night game drive, a rare opportunity to witness nocturnal wildlife such as genets, bush babies, civets, hyenas, and possibly leopards. The bush comes alive after dark, offering a completely different safari experience. Return to camp/lodge for over night.
Day 6: Return to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam
Wake up to the peaceful sounds of nature and enjoy a relaxing breakfast at your lodge. Afterward, take a leisurely transfer to the airstrip, soaking in the last views of Ruaha’s stunning landscapes. Board your flight back to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam, where you’ll be met for drop-off at your hotel or assisted with your connection to an international flight.
