Day 1: Arrival & Stone Town Tour

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to your hotel in the heart of Stone Town. After check-in, begin your journey with a guided tour through this atmospheric UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stroll along narrow alleys lined with carved wooden doors, historic mosques, and vibrant markets. Visit the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, and the Sultan’s Palace to uncover the island’s Swahili-Arab heritage. Explore Darajani Market, where locals shop for spices, seafood, and tropical fruits.

Learn about Zanzibar’s trading history and cultural fusion of African, Arab, Indian, and European influences. In the evening, enjoy a rooftop dinner with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean and a golden sunset. Rest and prepare for the sensory adventures ahead.

After breakfast, head inland for a sensory journey through Zanzibar’s renowned spice plantations. Guided by local experts, you’ll see, touch, and taste cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, and tropical fruits while learning about their culinary and medicinal uses. Next, travel by boat to Prison Island.

Originally a quarantine station, this small island is now home to Aldabra giant tortoises, some over 100 years old. Wander the historic ruins, feed the tortoises, and enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear waters. Return to Stone Town for a relaxed evening, perhaps with a seaside dinner. This day balances culture, history, and nature beautifully.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a scenic drive up the island’s coast to the northern beach village of Nungwi. Check into your beachfront resort and soak in the breathtaking views of the turquoise sea and powder-white sand. Spend the afternoon unwinding on the beach, swimming in the warm waters, or lounging by the pool with a drink in hand.

For the more adventurous, try optional activities like jet skiing or paddleboarding. As the sun sets, stroll along the shoreline and dine at a beachside restaurant serving freshly grilled seafood. Nungwi’s laid-back charm sets the tone for days of bliss.

Wake up to the sound of gentle waves and enjoy a relaxed breakfast by the sea. Today is yours to fully indulge in Zanzibar’s stunning northern beaches. Whether at Nungwi or nearby Kendwa, you can sunbathe, swim, or take part in optional activities like a dhow cruise, diving, or a beach massage.

Visit local artisan shops, explore the nearby fishing village, or take in panoramic views from a coastal café. In the evening, witness a stunning Indian Ocean sunset—Kendwa is especially known for its golden hour beauty. End your day with a candlelit dinner under the stars.

Savor your final breakfast on the beach, soaking in the last moments of ocean breeze and sunshine. Depending on your flight time, enjoy a final swim or a relaxed stroll along the shore. If time allows, shop for souvenirs—handcrafted jewelry, spices, or traditional kanga fabrics make meaningful mementos.

Check out of your resort and transfer back to Stone Town or directly to the airport. Reflect on your journey through Zanzibar’s cultural treasures, spice-scented air, and tranquil beaches. With unforgettable memories and sun-kissed skin, you depart knowing you’ve experienced the very soul of this magical island.
