Mkomazi National Park

Overview

Mkomazi National Park, located in northern Tanzania near the Kenyan border, is a hidden gem known for its dramatic landscapes, rare wildlife, and peaceful, uncrowded wilderness. The park features vast savannahs, acacia woodlands, and stunning views of the Pare and Usambara mountain ranges.

A key activity is the Game Drive, offering opportunities to see a wide range of animals, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, and predators such as lions and cheetahs. Uniquely, Mkomazi is one of the few places in Tanzania where visitors can see the endangered black rhino and African wild dog, thanks to its dedicated Rhino Sanctuary.

Another highlight is the Walking Safari, led by experienced rangers, allowing guests to explore the bush on foot. This immersive experience brings you closer to nature and offers a deeper understanding of the park’s diverse flora and fauna.
