Overview

Often referred to as the “Serengeti of Flowers”, is a hidden gem located in the southern highlands of Tanzania. Set at an altitude of over 2,600 meters, the park is a botanical paradise famous for its rolling montane grasslands and dramatic mountain scenery. It’s the first national park in tropical Africa to be established primarily for the protection of its flora.

The main activity here is Walking in the highlands of the park, an experience that offers unmatched tranquility and natural beauty. The park bursts into color between November and April, when thousands of wildflowers—including orchids, lilies, and daisies—bloom in spectacular displays across the grasslands. Walking through these flower-filled meadows, with panoramic views of surrounding peaks, is like stepping into a dream.
