Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe / Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or in Kampala, you’ll be warmly greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you may choose to relax or enjoy optional activities such as visiting the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, or exploring the city’s vibrant craft markets.
Those with more cultural interests can opt for a short visit to a local monastery or museum. Your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala offers a great place to unwind and prepare for the adventure ahead. Enjoy dinner with a view of Lake Victoria or the city skyline before a restful night.

Day 2: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with a guided visit to a spice farm outside Stone Town. Get hands-on as you smell, touch, and taste exotic spices like cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, and vanilla. Learn how Zanzibar became the “Spice Island” and how these spices shaped its economy and culture.
After the tour, enjoy a traditional Swahili lunch before driving north to the stunning beachside village of Nungwi. Check in to your resort and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing by the sea. Dip your toes in the warm Indian Ocean, take a sunset walk, and dine on fresh seafood under the stars.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Sector A
Today is the long-awaited highlight of your adventure. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a thorough briefing by rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Then, set off on a guided trek deep into the rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family in Sector A (e.g., Buhoma or Ruhija).
The terrain can be steep and muddy, but the reward is extraordinary — an intimate, awe-inspiring hour in the presence of wild mountain gorillas. Watch them groom, feed, and interact just meters away. Return to your lodge for a hot meal, then relax or join an optional evening forest walk or fireside storytelling session.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trek or Alternative Experience
Today offers a flexible and enriching selection of activities. If you choose to trek again (with a separate permit), explore a different sector of Bwindi (e.g., Rushaga or Nkuringo) to witness a second gorilla family with its own dynamics and terrain. Alternatively, venture to Mgahinga National Park to track golden monkeys — lively, playful creatures native to the Virunga region.
More adventurous travelers can hike one of the volcanic peaks for stunning panoramic views. Cultural enthusiasts may visit nearby communities, meet local craftspeople, or engage with the Batwa pygmies to learn about their ancient forest traditions. Return to the lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Nature, Culture & Wellness
After two active trekking days, today is dedicated to relaxation and deeper connection with the region’s natural and cultural richness. Begin with a guided birding walk — Bwindi is a birder’s paradise with over 350 species. Visit a tea plantation or coffee farm for a hands-on tasting experience, or explore a nearby waterfall hidden within the forest.
A visit to the Batwa community offers an eye-opening look at their traditions, music, and survival skills. You may also opt for a massage or spa session at your lodge. Enjoy your final evening surrounded by forest sounds, a warm fireplace, and breathtaking sunset views.

Day 6: Return to Kampala / Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi’s captivating wilderness as you begin the journey back to Entebbe or Kampala. This return drive once again offers the chance to admire Uganda’s rural beauty — scenic hills, terraced farms, and roadside villages. Make brief stops at craft markets for souvenirs or at the Equator for classic photo opportunities.
Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a farewell lunch or dinner in Entebbe before being transferred to the airport for your departure. With memories of wild gorillas, warm people, and verdant landscapes, you leave Uganda forever changed — carrying the spirit of the jungle with you.
